Personal History
Dr. Sanderson was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Washington & Lee University where he graduated cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

Dr. Sanderson then spent five years obtaining his urology residency training at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He is a member of the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, American College of Surgeons, Medical Society of Mobile County, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the American Medical Association. He is also a member and past president of the Alabama Urology Society and has been active in the Southeast Section of the American Urological Association.

Dr. Sanderson is board certified by the American Board of Urology and he joined the group in 1994. His areas of interest are general urology, prostate cancer & robotic surgery, erectile dysfunction, male incontinence, and infertility/vasectomy.
